You began your painting career in 2017. What first inspired you to start painting seriously?

Since I was little, I have had a passion for drawing and painting. At the age of five, I was already drawing cartoon characters such as Sailor Moon and Dexter. Many years later, in 2017, I decided to pursue painting more seriously because I truly loved the feeling of holding a brush in my hand and mixing colours. It was an important moment for me. Around that time, I also took painting lessons at an art studio near my home, and my teacher told me that I had real potential to become a great artist. That day changed my life and encouraged me to never give up painting.

Your works often explore flowers, landscapes, still lifes, and abstract compositions. What connects these themes for you?

I started with flowers and later moved toward more complex compositions, including abstract works and landscapes, sometimes using references and sometimes working purely intuitively. I think these themes reflect my inner thoughts and feelings. They allow me to express what I experience internally through shapes, colour, and composition.

Colour plays a very important role in your paintings. How do you choose your colour palette for each artwork?

Colour is very important in my work. I often use colours such as blue, green, and red because they help me express emotions and states of mind. For me, painting and the colours used in an artwork can reflect what is happening inside a person’s mind.

Some of your works feel very intuitive and expressive. Do you usually plan the composition in advance, or do you let it develop naturally?

Many of my works develop naturally and intuitively. Sometimes I use a reference, and sometimes I simply begin painting and allow the composition to appear through the process. I enjoy this intuitive approach because it helps me connect more deeply with my emotions and inner world.

Do you see painting as a form of emotional expression, self-reflection, or healing?

Yes, I see painting as a form of emotional expression and self-reflection. I am currently studying expressive art therapy, and I believe that art can be used as a medium to discover unconscious feelings that people may struggle with. For me, painting is closely connected to emotions, inner thoughts, and the state of mind.

How do you balance figurative elements and abstraction in your paintings?

I balance figurative elements and abstraction by allowing each artwork to develop in its own way. I may begin with something recognizable, such as flowers or a landscape, but through colour, gesture, and intuition, the work can become more expressive and abstract. This combination helps me communicate both the visible subject and the emotions behind it.

What emotions or thoughts would you like viewers to experience when they look at your artworks?

I would like viewers to connect with the emotions and inner states reflected in my paintings. My art is expressive, intuitive, and abstract, and I hope it encourages people to look inward, feel something personal, and perhaps recognize their own emotions through colour and form.
